Dataharvest 2026 - The European Investigative Journalism Conference
Call for Proposals - Dataharvest 2026
Dataharvest—the European Investigative Journalism Conference will take place from 28 to 31 May 2026.
We are looking forward to receiving your proposals for the Dataharvest 2026 conference. As in previous years, the conference will feature investigative, collaborative, and data-driven journalism. We welcome suggestions that showcase innovative methodologies, interesting storytelling choices, or new approaches to collaboration.
This year, Dataharvest will host the Climate Arena conference, and we are particularly keen to receive pitches on methods used in climate investigations and on your experiences in telling climate stories that resonate with audiences.
We are also interested in proposals addressing urgent topics such as militarisation, the rise of authoritarianism, dependency on big tech, etc. Submissions from young journalists and those new to the conference are particularly encouraged.
It is OK to use generative AI to check grammar or help you make your proposal more concise. However, please don't let AI write the entire proposal. Simple, less-than-perfect English is fine, as we want to hear about your ideas.
If you need guidance on topic selection or pitching, check out our pitching guide. If you have any questions, send us an email at info@dataharvest.eu. For updates about the Dataharvest conference, and if you want to sign up for our newsletter, visit the website: dataharvest.eu
Please submit your proposal form by 18 January 2026, midnight CET. We aim to notify you of the results by mid-February 2026.
You can enter proposals until 2026-01-18 23:59 (CET), 1 month, 4 weeks from now.
